Local advertisements from the North of Ireland, of a bygone era.
Player’s Navy Cut tobacco cigarettes newspaper advertisement from 1916. John Mulholland of Eden, near Portglenone, loved to smoke Player’s cigarettes.
1896 newspaper advertisement for the young White House department store in Portrush.
The store was founded in 1891, so it was only 5 years old at this point. The advert was in the Saturday 3rd edition of the Coleraine Chronicle.
The White House store is still going strong to this very day, well over a century later, and is a focal point for visitors to the beautiful north coast of Ireland.
